I’ve got 2 left feet! Can I really learn
to dance?
To learn to dance takes a few beginners lessons where you are being
exclusively taught steps. Each dance will take a different amount
of time to learn, but your teacher will give you more information
when you can progress from one level to the other. Once the steps
start to feel like a second nature, you can start learning more
complicated routines.
Do I need to book in advance?
Sometimes. Some of the classes are ongoing and you can start any
week, any day. You will just need to turn up 10 min before the beginning
of the class to register as a member or a guest. The classes that
will need pre-booking will be specifically noted and are the ones
that normally run as one off workshops rather than regular events.
Do I need to bring a partner?
No! We have relatively equal amount of guys and girls turning up
to every class. We also change partners on a regular basis though
the class so even if you come with a partner, you will not be dancing
with them the whole time.
What do people wear?
You can wear anything you are comfortable with. For the Ballroom,
Latin and Salsa classes we recommend you wear shoes with a smooth
sole. Some classes such as Ballet or Tap may require a specific
shoes or clothing, but we suggest you attend a lesson or two to
establish you enjoy the class before buying any such specialist
items.
If there are any specific requirements for the dance you want to
learn, that will be noted at the timetable.
If you are interested in purchasing dance shoes, then please visit
our on-line Shop.
How much does it cost?
Prices vary between classes. There are separate prices for members
and non-members. There is normally a £1 difference, depending
if you attend at peak time or not. You are not obliged to become
a member, but if you intend to come to classes on a regular basis,
it may work out cheaper if you purchase a membership. More information
on membership can be found here.
All day memberships are to be paid in cash, and unless
otherwise arranged with the teacher; all dance classes are to paid
in cash.
We take credit cards at a minimum amount of £10.
What are all these dances offering me?
If you want to find out what each one of the dances is all about,
a little bit of history and some music samples, then you need to
visit "The Dances" section. There every dance that we
teach or intend to teach is described in detail.
How can I find out about new classes you will
